A Natural Frame

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

As promised, quite delayed, but I want to talk to you about one of my most popular photos. It features a beautiful mountain range with snow-capped Mt. Sneffels as the center of the image. I composed this image by finding some foliage to frame the mountains and create depth in the photo.

I took this photo on a hike with some friends that I met at the dude ranch we all worked at. We had a little bit of time before our last group of guests arrived so we drove out to Aspen/Snowmass, CO area to have to some time to ourselves. As per usual, I am always looking for beautiful photos to take along the way, but I had no idea what I was going to capture. I remember walking past this little opening in the trees and foliage and seeing this beautiful image in my mind. I tried to keep hiking as I was falling behind, but that’s also typical haha! I just couldn’t get the image out of my mind, and I ran back to the spot I looked up and saw the image, adjusted my settings and captured what you see now. I don’t feel like I can take all the credit because I believe I was shown what that photo could look like by the power of the Holy Spirit. Now, I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything or shove my beliefs into anyone’s face, but I did want to share my experience.

If you would like this photo hanging in your space, please don’t hesitate to fill out the contact form in the Let’s Connect! page on my website or so we can discuss medium, size, etc.

Thank you so much for taking a look at my work and reading my experience!
